| Job Posting Title | Senior Analyst ? Strategy Planning & Development | | Job Description | The Sr. Analyst will be a highly valued member of the Business Strategy, Planning and Development team, working closely with the VP of Strategy, Planning and Development and the Senior Manager of Business Planning, and other division executives on various strategic and operational initiatives. The successful candidate should have a proven track record in financial analysis and research. The position is based in Burbank, CA and will report to the Senior Manager, Business Development for ABC Family. This position supports members of the Business Strategy, Planning and Development team. The strategy team as a whole works closely with the President of ABC Family on issues of key strategic importance. | | Responsibilities | ? Build complex financial models, ROI analysis, DCF valuations, model revenue streams with input from the Finance team, international finance and Ad Sales
? Analyze business performance including pro forma modeling and P&L analysis for original series
? Provide key analytic and research support for the design and implementation of growth strategies
? Support business development initiatives by creating pitch presentations in Keynote for senior management synthesizing financial information, research data and competitive information
? Work effectively with other executives and team members throughout ABC Family, Disney ABC Television Group as well as in other areas of The Walt Disney Company | | Basic Qualifications | ? Minimum of two years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research and financial analysis and/or business development
? Experience at an investment bank or consulting firm is a plus
? Must have a demonstrated interest in the entertainment and media industry
? Mastery of Excel financial modeling
? Eagerness to dissect and analyze complex business relationships
? Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of business partners
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Must be comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team | | Preferred Qualifications | ? 4+ years of experience in quantitative and qualitative research and financial analysis and/or business development
? Some familiarity/experience with traditional and new media businesses is a plus
? Experience at an investment bank or consulting firm is a plus
